Who are Sinister Beard Games?

Sinister Beard Games is the result of someone with a beard who occasionally looks a bit sinister when he poses for photos because he doesn't like his smile trying to think of a name for a fake company to put on an entry for a game design competition in 2016 which then became a real business which was stuck with a ridiculous name.

Or, to put it another way, Sinister Beard Games is a tabletop roleplaying game publisher that makes games for beautiful weirdos, beautiful weirdos like you. Hello beautiful. Run by owner and lead designer Oli Jeffery, we publish roleplaying games that indie in spirit and trad in production quality. Just look at some of the beautiful art we have in our games. Just look at it.

So far, we've published Oli's games Quietus and Night Reign, Extreme Meatpunks Forever by the wonderful duo Heather Flowers and Aura Belle, and a bunch of smaller games and supplements. We've got a couple of games due out soon, The Woods at Blight's Hollow, a folk horror mystery game and collaboration between Oli and the fantastic artist Corey Brickley, and Arkham Herald, a co-publication with the lovely folks at Gauntlet Publishing, which is about 70s investigative journalists clashing with Cthulhu.

Sinister Beard Games is proudly anti-fascist, anti-imperialist, anti-racist, disability-inclusive, feminist, leftist, queer, and trans-inclusive and we strive to embody those principals in both the games we publish and the people we do business with.
